Biography
Troy Jerome Turner, 25 August 1967, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Playing guitar and singing, Turner?s early influences included Kenny Neal, with whom he toured, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Through the 90s Turner made a steadily increasing impact with his soulful approach to contemporary blues songs, many of which are his own compositions. These include No Hard Feelings, Fast As I Can Go, House Without A Home, Hold Me Close and Born In Louisiana. In collaboration with guitarist and saxophonist Bob Greenlee he also composed Handful Of Aces, Shes Burnin, Whole Lotta Ash and Dont Happen That Way. Although there are tough edges to some of Turners work, the bulk of it falls comfortably into the style that finds favour with radio stations and hence has helped spread his name.
