Biography

This country family trio comprises Steve Wilkinson (18 August 1955, Belleville, Ontario, Canada; guitar), and two of his three children, Amanda (b. 17 January 1982, Belleville, Ontario, Canada; vocals) and Tyler (b. 30 April 1984, Belleville, Ontario, Canada; vocals). Steve, who worked as a carpenter in Trenton, Ontario, was a budding songwriter who had already placed several songs with Canadian performers. Having regularly sung for family and friends the family trio began to turn heads in their native Ontario when they started singing on a more professional basis, but things really took off after they relocated from Trenton to Nashville, Texas in 1997. They were courted by several major labels, but eventually decided to sign a recording contract with Warner Brothers Records’ subsidiary Giant.
