The Shooters comprised Walt Aldridge (12 November 1955, Florence, Alabama, USA; guitar, vocals), Gary Baker (b. 8 August 1952, Niagara Falls, New York, USA; bass), Barry Billings (guitar), Chalmers Davis (keyboards) and Michael Dillon (drums). They had US country hits with ‘They Only Come Out At Night’, ‘Tell It To Your Teddy Bear’ and ‘Borderline’, among others, in the late 80s. Their albums combined various forms of music, with Solid As A Rock being recorded in Muscle Shoals.

Aldridge works as a session musician, producer and songwriter. Davis also is a sessionman and has toured with Little Richard. Baker’s songwriting has won many awards. His song ‘I Swear’ was a major hit for John Michael Montgomery and received a Grammy for Best Country Song and Best R&B Vocal, ASCAP’s Song Of The Year and Billboard’s number 1 Country Song in 1994.
