Biography
This Philadelphia R&B ensemble featured the warm, chirpy lead of Yvonne Mills Baker (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA). The group was formed in 1954, and in 1956 they had two minor ballad hits, a remake of the old standard Yes Sir, Thats My Baby (US R&B number 15) and Please Mr. Disc Jockey (US R&B number 13) for the Atlantic Records subsidiary label Atco Records. The group included lead Baker, alternate lead Tommy Wicks and bass Alphonso Howell. The Sensations failed to register further hits and disbanded.
