Biography
Proving that direct straight ahead hardcore can always flourish despite the changing trends of the scene, the Hope Conspiracys sound can be traced back to Minor Threat, through later acts such as Sick Of It All, and contemporaries Cast Iron Hike and Snapcase. Formed in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, in the late 90s, the band originally comprised Adam Patterson (drums), Jonas Feinberg (bass), Dan Zimmerman (guitar), all previously members of Harvest, plus Kevin Baker (vocals, ex-Piecemeal) and Neeraj Kane (guitar, ex-Extinction). Recording their first demo with Kurt Ballou, the band also secured fellow Bostonian and Hydra Head boss Aaron Turner to produce the artwork, rapidly selling out the initial 1, 000 copies. The bands debut album followed a series of EPs, and was released by Equal Vision Records.
