Innovative rock outfit built around cult hero Chris D Desjardins (vocals), who had been active on the Los Angeles, California scene from the 70s, making movies and acting as well as co-ordinating the Flesh Eaters. Their first established line-up added Robyn Jameson (bass), Don Kirk (guitar), and Chris Wahl (drums). However, something of the nature of the band can be surmised by the frequency of its personnel shifts. Those passing through the ranks include: Bill Bateman (drums), Steve Berlin (saxophone), Gene Taylor (keyboards), John Bazz (bass), Dave Alvin (guitar), all ex-Blasters; Pat Garrett (guitar, bass), Joe Ramirez (bass), Joe Nanini (drums), all ex-Black Randy; John Doe (bass), D.J. Bonebrake (drums), Excene Cervenka (vocals), all ex-X. Stan Ridgway (Wall Of Voodoo; guitar) and Tito Larriva (Plugz; guitar) were also present in an early incarnation.
