Biography
This Memphis, Tennessee, USA-based electric blues band played an eclectic repertoire, mixing versions of traditional blues such as Dirt Road and Sweet Home Chicago with more modern material such as Little Miltons Little Bluebird and Albert Kings Angel Of Mercy. Active from the mid-70s through to the early 80s their appeal never outgrew their Memphis home. Vocals were shared by guitarist Willie Roy Sanders, formerly of the Binghampton Blues Boys, Little Applewhite, and drummer Joe Hicks, with other regular members including bass player Lois Brown and keyboard player Bobby Carnes. The material varied between the older, brooding, Delta style and an intense, soul-cum-west side Chicago vein. Their enjoyable live performance talents did not always stand up to exposure on albums.
