Biography

Based in Santa Rosa, California, USA, this vocal quartet was originally formed as a trio in 1958. By mid-1959 they had become a quartet with the line-up of teenagers Tom Hicks, Chuck Girard, Bob Ussery and Joe Kelly. This classy, doo-wop-orientated pop vocal quartet also reached the US Top 40 with "So This Is Love" in 1962. Kelly and Girard were later members of the Hondells. They later recorded unsuccessfully for United Artists Records, Warner Brothers Records, Decca Records, Solomon and Laurie.
