Biography

This extreme punk rock quintet from Seattle, Washington, USA made their name on the underground scene before punching out into the rock mainstream in partnership with producer Ross Robinson. The band was formed in 1997 by Jordan Blilie (vocals), Johnny Whitney (vocals), Morgan Henderson (bass), Mark Gajadhar (drums), and Devin Welch (guitar), although the latter was quickly replaced by Cody Votolato (1982, Texas, USA) after helping record the demo material later released on the Rumors Laid Waste EP. After building up a cult following on the local club scene, they made their independent label debut in 2000 with This Adultery Is Ripe, a shockingly visceral recording that garnered ecstatic praise from the punk rock media. The follow-up, March On Electric Children, was even more maniacal, with the twin vocal attack of Blilie and Whitney spearheading a truly intense fusion of hardcore and rock ‘n’ roll.
