Biography
The seminal line-up of this celebrated US pop band comprised brothers Brian Wilson (20 June 1942, Hawthorne, California, USA), Carl Wilson (b. 21 December 1946, Hawthorne, California, d. 6 February 1998, Los Angeles, California, USA) and Dennis Wilson (b. 4 December 1944, Hawthorne, California, USA, d. 28 December 1983), their cousin Mike Love (b. 15 March 1941, Baldwin Hills, California, USA), and school friend Al Jardine (b. 3 September 1942, Lima, Ohio, USA). When the aforementioned quintet formed a casual singing group in Hawthorne in summer 1961, they unconsciously created one of the longest running, compulsively fascinating and bitterly tragic sagas in popular music.
