Biography
Kevin (8 July 1958, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) and Michael Bacon have played music together all their lives, but pursued independent acting and music careers until forming the Bacon Brothers in the mid-90s. Michael, who holds a music degree from Lehman College, played with the Philadelphia-based folk-rock outfit Good News in the 70s, before relocating to Nashville to record solo work for Monument Records. In the late 80s and 90s he enjoyed acclaim as a soundtrack composer for films and television, winning an Emmy in 1993 for his music to the documentary The Kennedys. His brother, in the meantime, has established himself as one of America's leading actors. Kevin has appeared in movies including Footloose (1984), Flatliners (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), The River Wild (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), and Sleepers (1996).
