Biography
San Francisco band The Aislers Set formed in 1997, crafting a sound that was informed by the lo-fi indie-pop of the British C-86 movement of the '80s. They released their first album, TERRIBLE THINGS HAPPEN, to critical acclaim the following year. The band's sound became more elaborate, and their successive albums even more highly praised, over the next several years, and they toured with everyone from Belle & Sebastian to the Shins, but they called it quits in 2003.
