Biography
30 January 1972, Austinburg, Ohio, USA. This country singer was raised in rural Ohio, growing up in a music-loving, church-going family. Cochran began singing as a child with her two elder brothers, with the trio giving impromptu concerts for their parents. She later recalled her childhood and her brothers, who both succumbed to cystic fibrosis at an early age, on the song Angels In Waiting. Cochran formed her own band during her teens and after graduating high school and completing vocational training in the early 90s, relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue her dream of a singing career. After a long struggle to make her voice heard, she finally received her big break at the end of the decade when she was offered a job writing songs at Warner-Chappell Music.
