Biography
The 90s saw a plethora of melodic punk bands emerge from southern California, USA, one such act being the quintet Strung Out. Comprising Jason Cruz (vocals), Jake Kiley (rhythm guitar), Rob Ramos (guitar), Chris Aiken (bass), and Jordan Burns (drums), Strung Out formed in 1992 and within a year had released an independent single on their own. The track caught the attention of No FX frontman Fat Mike, and by 1994 the band had signed to his renowned punk label, Fat Wreck Chords, and issued their debut, Another Day In Paradise. Further releases followed throughout the decade, including 1996s Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues, 1998s Twisted By Design, and a compilation of early tracks, The Skinny Years
