Lawler first began DJing in the early 90s when he played at illegal parties in Solihull, Birmingham, England his home town at the time. In 1995 he gained a residency at Mambo in Ibiza, before consolidating his reputation as a versatile and inventive DJ through his residency at Cream in Liverpool and later at the London superclub, home. His DJing style has been compared to the acclaimed US DJ, Danny Tenaglia, because of the tribal elements of his sets, which range from tough, pounding, US house through to trance. Two mix albums appeared in 2000, reflecting his progressive blend of deep and tribal house, as played at his Deep South nights at home. Lawler DJs internationally at major clubs such as Twilo in New York, Release in San Francisco, Zouk in Singapore and Pacha in Ibiza.
