25 November 1966, Washington, DC, USA. Lattisaw emerged as a child prodigy in the late 70s, touring with Ramsey Lewis at the age of 11 and recording her first album for Cotillion Records a year later. Her light and breezy pop-disco style was epitomized by her 1980 US hits, Dynamite and Let Me Be Your Angel, produced by Van McCoy and Narada Michael Walden, respectively. She enjoyed success in 1982 with the novelty record Attack Of The Name Game, but her subsequent Cotillion releases failed to match the sparkle of her early work. An album of duets with fellow teenager Johnny Gill in 1984 was well received in the disco market, but her solo career was only revived after she signed to Motown Records in 1986 and enjoyed a major dance hit with Nail It To The Wall.
