Biography
This hardcore band was formed in Buffalo, New York, USA in 1991 by Daryl Taberski from the remains of his previous band, Solid State. At this point the line-up comprised Taberski (bass), Chris Galas (vocals), Scott Dressler (guitar), Joe Salemi (guitar), and Mike Kimaid (drums) made up the remainder of the band. After a couple of strong demos Snapcase signed to Victory Records, releasing the 7-inch single Comatose soon afterwards. Sessions for the bands debut album were complicated by the departures of Galas and Kimaid. Lookinglasself was completed with the addition of drummer Tim Redmond and bass player Bob Whiteside. Predominantly produced by hardcore legend Don Fury, the taut angular riffs and Taberskis vitriolic vocals garnered the band immediate attention.
