Biography

Waylon Albright Jennings, 19 May 1979, USA. The son of American country legends Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, Shooter was given his unusual nickname by his father after he had watched his baby son pee all over a nurse. Shooter’s early years were spent on the road with his parents, and by his teenage years he had already learned to play drums, piano and guitar and made a few guest appearances with Waylon’s band. In his late teens he made his way to Los Angeles, where he formed Stargunn and spent several years playing hard-nosed southern rock to a large local fanbase.

Yearning to return to his country roots, Jennings pulled the plug on Stargunn in 2003 and spent some time in New York and Los Angeles plying his trade as a country singer-songwriter.
