Biography
Saturday Looks Good to Me is a loose collection of musicians centered on Midwestern pop auteur Fred Thomas, whose sweeping influences include PET SOUNDS-era Beach Boys, C-86 pop, Holland-Dozier-Holland, and countless lo-fi geniuses with a gift for melody and honesty. Thomas was pulled from obscurity in 2002 when his music was discovered by emo band Saves the Day, who made him the support act on a large club tour. This unexpected exposure attracted new listeners, and caught the ear of the Champaign, Illinois-based indie Polyvinyl, and, later, K Records, who have both released material from the prolific singer-songwriter.
