1982, Hobbs, New Mexico, USA. From a ranching background, the young Bingham spent time in New Mexico, Texas and California as his father struggled to hold down a steady job. The disintegration of his home life resulted in Bingham upping sticks at the age of 14, enduring an itinerant existence for most of his teenage years. During this period he began to play the guitar and began performing at folk and country clubs throughout the southern states, before making his way to Stephenville, Texas, where he attended Tarleton State University and divided his spare time between playing gigs and riding bulls. In the early years of the new millennium Bingham released two independent albums that showcased his preference for rocking Americana and a hard-bitten lyrical edge at odds with his relative youth.
