Biography
This UK AOR band were fronted by female vocalist Leigh Matty, expertly backed by songwriter and guitarist Craig Joiner, Tony Mitman on keyboards, Ed Poole on bass and drummer Andy Wells. The band came together under the direction of producer Robert Mutt Lange in what seemed to be an attempt to recreate a similar project from the late 70s with his wifes band, Night. Lange, along with John Parr and Joiner, worked hard on the songs and production and, armed with a contract with Jive Records, issued the single Heaven In The Backseat, a minor hit that brought together elements of both Heart and Belinda Carlisle while retaining an English sound. 1989s self-titled album sold well and the band proved a popular live attraction, receiving much attention from Radio 1s Rock Show who broadcast live concerts and an exclusive session.
