Biography

This New York power-trio exploded onto the heavy metal scene in 1980. Formed by ex-Elf guitarist David Feinstein, the line-up was completed by drummer Carl Canedy and bass player Stephen Farmer. Although heavily influenced by Kiss, Ted Nugent and Deep Purple, they transformed these influences into a unique sound that was at once aggressive, powerful and uncompromising. Rock Hard, released on the independent Primal label, was a terse and anthemic debut, which eventually led to the inking of a contract with Arista Records. Gary Bordonaro replaced Farmer before their first major label release (a remixed version of Rock Hard, with three additional tracks). Wild Dogs was a disappointing follow-up and sold poorly, which ensured the band would be dropped by their label.
