Biography
This Mexican acoustic guitar duo is based in Dublin, Eire. With their musical roots grounded in both heavy metal and traditional Latin music, the duo principally play acoustic instrumental pieces, fusing together various musical styles including flamenco finger-picking and percussive guitar techniques. Comprising lead guitarist Rodrigo Sanchez and rhythm guitarist Gabriela Quintero, the duo met as teenagers growing up in Mexico City, Mexico. Having performed in various different heavy metal outfits around the city, they eventually played together in the heavy metal band Tierra Acida. Although the band did record an album, a dispute over the recording contract meant that the set was never released.
