Biography
Rocket From The Tombs were formed in June 1974 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Although only active for a year, they played an integral part in the birth of punk music in the USA. The original line-up featured instigator David Thomas aka Crocus Behemoth (1953, Miami, Florida, USA, vocals), Charlie Weiner (guitar), Glen Thunderhand Hach (guitar) and Tom Foolery (b. Tom Clements; drums). They became a featured act at the citys Viking Saloon, where Thomas worked as a part-time bouncer. The bands initial sub- Frank Zappa style, parodying 50s and 60s rock n roll, changed irrevocably with the arrival of Peter Laughner (b. Peter Ravenscroft Laughner, 22 August 1952, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, d. 22 June 1977, Cleveland, Ohio, USA).
