Biography
Robin Lee Irwin, 7 November 1963, Nashville, Tennessee, USA. In spite of early glowing praise for her vocal abilities from some critics, Lee has so far failed to establish herself as a top country singer. Between 1983 and 1988, she charted 13 minor Billboard country chart hits, one, Paint The Town Blue, being a duet with Lobo. Most were on the Evergreen label, but in 1990, her Atlantic recording of Black Velvet (a song about Elvis Presley that was a 1990 number 1 hit for Alannah Myles), peaked at number 10. However, she failed to maintain that standard and by the mid-90s she had only managed three more minor chart entries, the last, Nothin But You, a modest number 51 in 1991.
