Biography
Maurice Richards, 1983, Mobile, Alabama, USA. This southern rapper was raised in Mobile and studied mechanical engineering at Tuskegee University. He experimented with beats while still at college but it was when he started rapping that the idea of pursuing a music career took hold. He dropped out of university and began recording demo material. A number of his tracks were played on the local radio station 93 WBLX and led to calls being put in by Atlanta-based producer Polow Da Don made contact. A contract was signed with Da Dons Zone 4 Entertainment label and Richards began work on his debut album. The involvement of the giant Interscope Records label meant an impressive cast list of producers and guest artists could be assembled to help at the recording sessions.
