Biography
Formed in the mid-90s in the Pacific Northwest, this country rock bands original line-up comprised brothers Willy Braun (guitar/vocals), and Cody Braun (fiddle, mandolin, vocals), Casey Pollock (guitar), Chris Schelske (bass) and Jay Nazz (drums). The Braun brothers were raised in Idaho and Oregon and played in a family band led by their father, Muzzie Braun, where the repertoire was rooted in western swing. The brothers then played rock before teaming up with Nazz to play alternative country music in the Prairie Mutts. Their new band centred on contemporary country music, acknowledging blues and rock in forming its style and repertoire. After relocating to Austin, Texas, the band, which was now known as Reckless Kelly, recorded the independently released Millican.
