b Bruce Brewster. Rayvon is widely considered to be Shaggys sparring partner, first gaining prominence on the DJs Big Up, which topped the New York reggae chart in 1992. Rayvon has in fact been involved in the New York reggae scene for a number of years and is considered a veteran. His recordings with Shaggy included the adroit jazzy hit Nice And Lovely, in 1993, and three years later, Rayvon found international success providing vocals on the duos interpretation of Mungo Jerrys In The Summertime. The unprecedented success with Shaggy, the latter being the only reggae artist to have topped the European pop charts twice, resulted in Rayvon joining him on a world tour encompassing the Far East, Eastern Europe and Africa.
