Perri Alette McKissack, Oakland, California, USA. This female singer, nicknamed Pebbles by her family for her resemblance to the cartoon character Pebbles Flintstone, is based in San Francisco, California, and enjoyed substantial success after teaming up with black pops hottest production team, L.A. Reid And Babyface. Before their meeting she had spent her teenage years and early professional career with Con Funk Shun in the early 80s. She sprang to fame in 1988 with Girlfriend, a debut smash both for her and her production team. This was quickly followed by the US number 2-peaking Mercedes Boy.
