From Long Beach, Orange County, California, and led by singer and principal songwriter Dan Root, One Hit Wonder additionally comprise Randy Bradbury (bass), Trey Pangborn (guitar) and Chris Webb (drums). Their self-titled debut EP in 1995, produced by alternative rock team the Robb brothers (Lemonheads, Buffalo Tom), consolidated the impression created by an initial batch of underground 7-inch singles for Lethal Records. The material on offer (‘Break Your Heart’, ‘After Her Disasters’) provided down-at-heel takes on life, backed by focused punk riffing with power pop flourishes. Subsequent material has appeared on the Offspring’s Nitro label.
