Biography
This Danish singing duo was popular in the late 50s and early 60s. Nina Möller (15 July 1932, Denmark) had married the wealthy aristocrat Baron Frederik Jan Gustav Floris van Pallandt (b. 14 May 1934, Copenhagen, Denmark, d. 15 May 1994, Puerto Talera, the Philippines) in 1954, and teamed up with her husband to record a string of duo hits, including ‘Mary’s Boy Child’ (1959), ‘Little Donkey’ (1960) and ‘Sucu Sucu’ (1961). After having three children, they separated in 1969 largely because he wanted to retire and she did not (the marriage was dissolved in 1976). The Baron, a descendant of a Dutch ambassador to Denmark, became a virtual recluse on a farm in Ibiza (briefly purchasing the publishing rights to Burke’s Peerage), then Mindoro in the Phillipines.
