Biography
Bristol, Avon, England. Warren worked in various part-time jobs before pursuing his DJing career, initially at Bristol clubs Most Excellent and Venus in the mid-80s. It was here that he caught the ear of fellow Bristolians, Massive Attack, who liked his musical eclecticism and invited him to support them on a US tour. He also remixed a bestselling Les Negresses Vertes track when Massive Attack were unable to do it, helping to establish his name as a skilled DJ producer. In collaboration with Jody Wisternoff, he was signed by Creams James Barton to Deconstruction Records. As Way Out West they have released a string of acclaimed and commercially successful singles, including Ajare, Domination, The Gift and Blue, and an album, 1997s Way Out West.
