Biography
Although formed in Phoenix, Arizona, USA soft metal artists Mr. Mister were based in Los Angeles and were the brainchild of Richard Page (16 May 1953, Keokuk, Iowa, USA; bass/vocals) and Steve George (b. 20 May 1955, Phoenix, Arizona, USA; keyboards) who had previously played together in the Pages. They were both also experienced session men, working alongside REO Speedwagon and John Parr. The line-up was completed when Steve Farris (guitar) and Pat Mastelotto (b. Lee Patrick Mastelotto, 10 September 1955, Chico, California, USA; drums) joined in 1982. Their debut in 1984, I Wear The Face, provided the minor US hit Hunters Of The Night. The album was released in the UK two years later. The next album broke the band by scaling the top of the charts in 1985 and delivering two US number 1 singles in Broken Wings and Kyrie. Its release coincided with a marathon Tina Turner support tour. Both singles also made the UK Top 20.
