Biography
This rap duo, comprising Havoc (Kejuan Muchita, 21 May 1974, Queensbridge, New York, USA) and Prodigy (b. Albert Johnson, 2 November 1974, Queensbridge, New York, USA), made a colossal impact in 1995 with their hardcore hip-hop single Shook Ones Part II. Compared in the music press to the experience of hearing Schoolly D for the first time, it saw the New York-based rap team propelled to the top of the Billboard charts and national fame. It accompanied the release of their second album, The Infamous, which offered a succession of bleak inner-city narratives such as Survival Of The Fittest and the Q-Tip -produced Drink Away The Pain.
