Biography
This UK indie rock quartet comprises Joe Carnall (1988, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England; vocals/bass), Louis Carnall (b. 1986, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England; guitar), Tom Rowley (b. 1986, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England; guitar) and Joe Green (b. 1986, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England; drums). Growing up together in Sheffield, the members of Milburn began playing together in 2001, and were one of the acts to enjoy a swift rise in profile in the light of the success of friends the Arctic Monkeys. Milburn quickly built up a loyal fanbase in their native city, playing extensively in pubs and clubs in the north of England. In 2004 they self distributed a demo Lipstick Lickin and as a result signed to independent label Free Construction the following year.
