Biography
Nowadays chiefly remembered for the exploits of lead rapper Grand Puba (Maxwell Dixon), who would go on to front Brand Nubian before selecting a solo career. Masters Of Ceremony’s singular album release was a pedestrian affair, divorced of the religious dogma, or indeed the musical precision, which characterised the work of Brand Nubian. Without which their attempts to copy a Public Enemy sneer wore fatally thin. However, it did include a major hit in ‘Sexy’.
