Marco Vincent Benevento, 22 July 1977, Livingston, New Jersey, USA. Playing keyboards from the age of seven, Benevento studied at Berklee College Of Music in the late 90s. Pianists with whom he has studied include JoAnne Brackeen, Brad Mehldau and Kenny Werner. From the start of the 00s, Benevento became well known on the New York experimental music scene. In particular, he played with the Jazz Farmers and in duo with drummer Joe Russo. Among other musicians with whom he has worked are Trey Anastasio, Brad Barr, Steven Bernstein, Matt Chamberlain, Claude Coleman, Dave Dreiwitz, Mike Gordon, Charlie Hunter, Wayne Krantz, Reed Mathis, Scott Metzger and Stanton Moore.
