Formed in 2000 by brothers Lillian Berlin (guitar/vocals), Eve Berlin (bass) and Bosh Berlin (drums), this US band developed its punky take on contemporary rock in the trios home-town of St. Louis, Missouri. The brothers relocated to Los Angeles in their late teens and began an exhaustive schedule of club dates. The hard work paid off as the trio courted the attention of several major labels, although their hardline political attitude meant a deal with Geffen Records fell by the wayside.
The band eventually landed up on the DreamWorks Records label. Their 2004 debut, Black Skies In Broad Daylight, was a terrific slice of heads down rock n roll, with Steve Albinis sparse production adding the expected clout to politically charged songs such as I Owe and New Year.
