As an alternative to their main roles in Stephen McBean’s acclaimed Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin -influenced Vancouver, Canada psychedelic rock outfit Black Mountain, boyfriend and girlfriend, Joshua Wells (1976, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; keyboards, guitar, vocals, ex-Ex Dead Teenager) and Amber Webber (b. British Columbia, Canada; vocals, ex-Dream On Dreary) decided to record an album of stripped down folk, naming both a 2007 disc and their project, Lightning Dust. Having also previously played together in Jerk With A Bomb and Pink Mountaintops, two further McBean-fronted bands related to the Black Mountain Army collective, Webber and Wells found room to breathe in this new incarnation.
