Biography
24 September 1983, Melbourne, Australia. The son of celebrated singer-songwriter and Crowded House main man Neil Finn, he moved across the water to his father’s home country of New Zealand as a child. Still only in his teens, Liam followed in his father’s footsteps when he formed the rock band Betchadupa in 1999. After one successful and one not so popular album, Finn embarked on a solo career in 2006. Recently domiciled in London, England, he relocated to Los Angeles, California, and worked alongside his father in the Crowded House reunion tour. He also completed work on his solo debut, I’ll Be Lightning, a highly enjoyable collection of tuneful pop rock that was largely played and produced by Finn alone.
