Biography
1965, Australia. Singer Lee Kernaghan is the son of country music performer Ray Kernaghan, best known for his album Me And Louis On The Road. Lee joined his father on the road from an early age and won a recording contract with RCA Records. He appeared with his father at the International Fan Fair show in Nashville in 1986, and spent time writing with Nashville songwriters. Returning to Australia, he was invited to record again by songwriter/producer Garth Porter. They wrote songs that celebrated their Australian roots and The Outback Club became a top-selling country album in Australia. The follow-up, Three Chain Road, is regarded as a high point of New Country, perhaps the Australian equivalent of Garth Brooks and selling 100, 000 copies.
