Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Americana singer-songwriter Cantrell balances a high-flying position at the Bank of America with a burgeoning music career, launched in 1999 with the release of the highly acclaimed Not The Tremblin Kind. Cantrell, who was born and raised in Tennessee, grew to love her regions rich country music heritage and even landed a summer job as a tour guide at the Country Music Hall Of Fame And Museum. She hosted a student radio show while studying at Columbia University, playing country music and alternative rock, and also began performing in local clubs. After leaving college Cantrell embarked on a career in the financial industry, quickly rising to the position of Vice President of Equity Research at the New York office of the Bank of America. During this period she hosted her own popular show Radio Thrift Shop on New Jerseys WFMU-FM, playing classic country and folk music alongside material from the burgeoning alt country...
