Biography
Having dissolved Max Webster in 1982, Mitchell was inspired to pursue a solo career. After signing with Anthem Records he released a mini-album that followed closely in the Max Webster tradition. He then took a break from music until he signed with Bronze Records. His next release was the excellent and slightly offbeat Akimbo Alogo, which also included the single Go For Soda. At times reminiscent of the excesses of Frank Soda And The Imps and Neil Merryweather (c.1974), Mitchells approach was, at times, misunderstood by the press, but there was no mistaking his obvious talent as a guitarist. He finally achieved critical acclaim with Rockland.
