7 October 1949, Queens, New York, USA. The 90s country singer and record company owner Kieran Kane initially enjoyed a certain amount of success as half of the OKanes alongside Jamie OHara. The duo split in 1989 to resume their solo careers, mostly as songwriters. The acoustic Find My Way Home did not sell sufficiently well for Atlantic Records to want to try again with the artist. This worked to Kanes advantage as, with Mike Henderson, he established his own label, Dead Reckoning, which has already developed into one of the most creative labels in Nashville and whose signings include Kevin Welch, Tammy Rogers and Harry Stinson, all of whom work outside of the mainstream. Regarding Kanes own work, the acousticDead Rekoning cost only $10, 000 to make. This Dirty Little Town featured harmony vocals from Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams.
