Biography
Kelendria Trene Rowland, 11 February 1981, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Rowland found pop fame as one third of the chart-topping US R&B vocal group Destinys Child. Late in 2001, the trio issued a holiday recording, 8 Days Of Christmas, before disclosing to the public that they were going on a temporary hiatus to pursue solo projects. Rowlands debut solo single, Dilemma, a duet with rapper Nelly, was released in summer 2002 and quickly climbed to the top of the US singles chart (it later topped the UK chart as well and won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration). Later the same year, Rowlands solo debut, Simply Deep, was issued, expectedly charting high on the US charts upon release.
