Biography

Now straddling the uncertain boundaries between death, black and thrash metal, this Swedish outfit was originally formed in 1987 around key members Anders Nyström (22 April 1975, Sweden; guitar/vocals) and Jonas Renske (b. 19 May 1975, Sweden; drums/vocals). The first incarnation of the band did not last long, however, folding after a few months of performing pure black metal. However, in 1992 they regrouped and recorded a demo, Jhva Elohim Meth … The Revival. This led to a contract with No Fashion and once the band had gained some popularity, the demo was later issued by the Netherlands-based VIC label. The debut album, Dance Of December Souls, recorded with bass player Israphel Wing, was reviewed positively for its technical, economical approach and impressed Opeth singer Mikael Åkerfeldt enough for him to offer his services on the follow-up, Brave Murder Day, issued by the Avantgarde label.
