Biography
1958, Newport, Wales. While Langford was studying fine arts at Leeds University, he attracted attention playing drums, and later guitar, in the 70s punk rock band, the Mekons. Another later musical collaboration was with John Hyatt and John Phillip Brennan as the Three Johns. Resident in Chicago, Illinois since 1991, Langford has continued to extend his influence in music and has also demonstrated his many gifts especially those as an artist. His representations of noted country and rock singers have been highly praised, as has his work as a comic strip artist. Active in the broadcasting and recording studios, he has been heard on Chicago's WXRT radio station and with Bloodshot Records. He also worked with Alejandro Escovedo, the Ex, the Old 97's, Pine Valley Cosmonauts, Chip Taylor and the Waco Brothers.
