Biography
26 January 1968, Whitestone, Queens, New York City, New York, USA. Singer Malin started out as a down-and-dirty punk rocker with the 90s New York City, USA-based D Generation, before indulging in a musical makeover, and launching a solo career as a modern day singer-songwriter shortly after the dawn of the new millennium. Often compared to bands such as the New York Dolls, the Dead Boys, and the Sex Pistols, D Generation was a reaction of sorts against the then still-prevalent grunge movement, with leather and long spiky hair mixed with anthems of youth gone wild. Despite initial high hopes for the quintet, D Generation fizzled out after issuing a total of three commercially under achieving albums, the last being 1999s Through The Darkness. Up next for Malin was the similarly styled Bellvue, which issued a sole album, 2001s To Be Somebody, before splitting up. Malin then opted to launch a solo career. He enlisted friend Ryan Adams...
