Geraldo Rivera Rodriguez, 31 July 1973, Humacao, Puerto Rico. Raised in Levittown, near Toa Baja, Rivera sang from an early age encouraged by his parents, singers Edwin Pino Rivera and Dominga. Father and son sang together and the former actively promoted his sons career, recording him when he was 14 years old. This led to Jerrys reputation quickly spreading and after signing with a major label he made an impact with a series of well-received and commercially successful salsa albums during the early to- mid-90s. His hit singles included De La Cabeza A Los Pies, Esa Niña, Dime and Como Un Milagro, while his third full-length release Cuenta Conmigo became one of the bestselling salsa albums of all-time. The album spent most of 1992 at the top of the Latin American charts and was garlanded with awards at the end of the year.
