Biography

Jason Aldine, 28 February 1977, Macon, Georgia, USA. This country singer-songwriter was only in his early teens when he began performing at local talent shows, and after forming a band he graduated to the bar circuit. After leaving high school he adopted his new stage name and began working the eastern seaboard with his band. In 1998 he signed a songwriting contract with Warner-Chappell and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Two major label recording contracts came and went without Aldean actually entering a studio but, just when it seemed his musical dreams were to remain unfulfilled, he was approached by the up-and-coming label Broken Bow Records. He signed a new recording contract and immediately began work on his debut album. The single ‘Hicktown’, co-written with John Rich (of Big And Rich) and Vicky McGehee, reached the country Top 10 in late 2005. The follow-up singles ‘Why’ and ‘Amarillo Sky’ were also major hits, reaching number 1...
